Leaving Vagaro: what UK salons do next

Salons leave Vagaro because the monthly bill rises with every bookable calendar added, from £20 for one up to £80 for seven or more, on top of a one-time 20% fee on the first appointment booked by each new Vagaro Marketplace client. Why UK salons leave Vagaro

The bill grows with the size of the team. Vagaro's UK pricing is £20 a month for one bookable calendar, £30 for two, £40 for three, rising in £10 steps to £80 a month for seven or more, each price shown against a struck-through higher figure on vagaro.com. On top of that, a one-time 20% fee applies to the first appointment booked by each new client who arrives through the Vagaro Marketplace.

The 30-day free trial does not include email marketing, text marketing or the branded app, so a salon that wants those has to weigh them up separately once the trial ends. Vagaro's pricing page lists those figures further down the same page: text marketing from £15 a month, email marketing free to start and the branded app at £50 a month, as listed on vagaro.com, checked 14 September 2026. And a Vagaro Marketplace listing sits on the same screen as other businesses, an audience the platform owns rather than the salon.

Put together, that is a bill that climbs every time a bookable calendar is added, plus a fee that lands whenever a new client books through the Marketplace, rather than a fixed figure a salon can plan a budget around.

How Vagaro's price compares to Revyfy's

At three bookable calendars, Vagaro's £40 a month sits close to Revyfy's £39.99, within a few pence of each other on subscription alone. The gap opens as a team grows: by seven or more calendars, Vagaro reaches £80 a month, twice the Revyfy price, before the 20% new-client Marketplace fee is even added, and before any of Vagaro's paid add-ons.

None of these figures include the one-time 20% Marketplace fee, which applies on top for every new client who books their first appointment that way, or any paid add-ons. A 3-staff salon that also wants Vagaro's forms and text marketing add-ons pays £40 + £10 + £15 = £65 a month before card processing, using the add-on prices published on vagaro.com and checked 14 September 2026; Revyfy's £39.99 already includes forms and marketing tools, and texts run on pay-as-you-go credit, so you buy only what you send, with no plan tier to move up to. Revyfy stays at £39.99 in every row, whatever the team size and whatever happens with new clients that month.

What to check before you leave

Before switching, it helps to know exactly what you want carried over. All of the following moves with Revyfy:

• Future appointments. Everything already booked in your diary, on the right day and time, with the right staff member.
• Client list and notes. Contact details, visit history and any notes on file.
• Services and prices. Your existing service list and how each one is priced.
• Gift card balances. What is outstanding on any gift card a client has bought.
• Stock levels. Current quantities for anything you sell or use.
• Staff. Your team, their roles and what they are booked to deliver.
