Leaving Fresha: what UK salons do next

Last updated: 16 August 2026 · By the Revyfy team

Salons leave Fresha because the bill now has three moving parts: a subscription per person since 1 November 2025, a 20% fee on each new marketplace client, and card processing, while the marketplace lists them next to competitors. The move to Revyfy is done for you during a 14-day trial, £39.99 flat, unlimited staff, zero commission.

Who is Revyfy?

Revyfy is UK salon software: online booking on your own branded page, the diary, POS, client records, reminders, email and SMS marketing and consent forms, plus the Revy AI assistant. One flat price of £39.99 a month, unlimited staff, zero commission on any booking. Our team moves your data over from your old system during the 14-day free trial, no card needed.

Why UK salons are leaving Fresha

The pricing changed on 1 November 2025. Every UK Fresha business now pays a monthly subscription, £14.95 solo or £9.95 per team member, on top of the 20% fee on each new marketplace client's first booking and card processing.

That structure means the bill scales with two things a salon does not fully control: how many staff it books through, and how many new clients arrive through the marketplace in a given month. On top of the cost, a Fresha marketplace profile sits on the same search screen as other businesses; the platform, not the salon, owns that audience and decides who else appears alongside it.

Put together, that is a total that moves every month, on two fronts at once, rather than a fixed figure a salon can plan a budget around. A quiet month with fewer new clients still carries the same subscription; a busy month with more new clients adds fees on top of it.

Is Fresha worth it?

The real question is what you pay for what you get. On Fresha, the bill rises with every team member and every new marketplace client. On Revyfy, it is £39.99 whatever happens that month.

Three worked examples, at an average booking value of £45, show how the Fresha total moves with size and marketplace activity.

BusinessFresha (subscription + new-client fees)Revyfy
Solo, 4 new marketplace clients/month£50.95£39.99
3-chair, 8 new marketplace clients/month£101.85£39.99
6-chair, 12 new marketplace clients/month£167.70£39.99

The 6-chair figure is £59.70 in subscription (6 × £9.95) plus £108 in new-client fees (12 × £9). None of the three figures include card processing, which applies on both platforms. Revyfy stays at £39.99 in every row, regardless of team size or how many new clients book that month.

The gap widens as a business grows. In the solo example, Revyfy comes to £10.96 a month less. In the 6-chair example, the gap is £127.71 a month, or well over £1,500 across a year, without the salon's client numbers or booking values needing to change at all.

What to check before you leave

Before switching, it helps to know exactly what you want carried over. All of the following moves with Revyfy:

  • Future appointments. Everything already booked in your diary, on the right day and time, with the right staff member.
  • Client list and notes. Contact details, visit history and any notes on file.
  • Services and prices. Your existing service list and how each one is priced.
  • Gift card balances. What is outstanding on any gift card a client has bought.
  • Stock levels. Current quantities for anything you sell or use.
  • Staff. Your team, their roles and what they are booked to deliver.

How the move to Revyfy works

You start a 14-day trial and tell us you are coming from Fresha. From there, the Revyfy team moves your staff, clients, notes, services, future appointments, gift cards and stock across for you.

You can run both systems side by side for as long as you need, checking that everything looks right before committing to anything. Fresha keeps running until you choose to go live on Revyfy, so there is no gap where the salon is without a working system.

Nothing is switched over publicly until you decide it is ready. You choose when to share your new booking link and when to stop taking bookings on the old system, so the pace of the move stays in your hands throughout the trial.

What changes for your clients

Very little, from their side. Clients book on your own branded page, at your own link, instead of inside a marketplace shared with other businesses. Reminders continue as before, and there is nothing for a client to do or set up.

Your existing clients are yours: their history, notes and future appointments move with you, and they carry on booking with your salon the same as always.

The flat-price alternative: Revyfy

Revyfy is £39.99 a month, flat, for unlimited staff and zero commission on any booking. The price includes online booking on your own branded page, the diary, POS, client records with notes and consent forms, reminders, email and SMS marketing, custom forms, and rooms and equipment booking. Revy AI, the assistant that answers questions about the business and helps manage clients, is available as an add-on at £24.99 a month.

During your 14-day free trial, no card needed, the Revyfy team moves your data over from Fresha: staff, clients, notes, services, future appointments, gift cards and stock all come across, so you are not starting from a blank system on day one.
